The suspender kit was usually eliminated with a separate black waist belt and small pouches on that (ideally, a compass pouch, maybe a canteen or two). A small ALICE butt pack or black backpack was also seen. Goggles were the standard M44 large frame, $6 at your local surplus store (used), although the ones you have now are fine. Black droplegs were used to carry sidearm. A US flag patch on your right shoulder and you're set. Go for teh win and roll around in a sandbox ? Toss some sand over some of it, just for the look.

Epic necro/doublepost here, watching BHD now and the only thing you're missing is a comms setup. Black Bowman-style headset and any type radio tucked in a side pouch would work. Also, if you haven't seen GB's contribution to the MiA guide to 90's loadouts, velcro was put on the sides just as it is seen on lids today.
